SFGH Lease program
Leasing is a great way to spend time with a horse without the expense or time commitment of owning a horse.
Here at SFGH, we offer partial leasing to our riders that have completed our 8 week beginner course.
We provide the all care of the lease horses, provide all the hay and grain, and keep the horse in healthy condition to be leased out.
Leases are from March 1- October 1.
All leases include lessons, and a scheduled ride time. This time will not have an instruction but is scheduled when our team is here to over see the Students.
All leases require a $50 non refundable deposit.
For 2021-we only have 2 horses available for off site Show leases, possibly 3. So we will accept Students who want to be on a waiting list.

SAFETY is our number one priority, safety for the rider and safety for the horse.
These horses are not like many lesson horses.....these horses are our family members and we want them to live a long healthy life.
We also strongly believe that every single time you touch a horse, you are either training or un-training that horse.
Over the years, We specifically hand picked each one of our horses for specific reasons, and purchased them at a young age so we could raise them to become the amazing horses they are today. We have spent hours training and testing them in situations so now have designed the following levels based on how much experience the horse has had and their ability to “forgive and forget” any un-training our riders may do.

green lightGreen means go! Our horses in the green light level are ready to go. They are very experienced and very safe for beginners.
yellow lightYellow, use caution!!! These horses are more advanced beginner safe. These horses may not have as much experience as our green light riders or need a little stronger rider then someone who is brand new to horses.
Red lightRed light.....STOP. These are horses that require an intermediate rider. These horses may have things that need worked on or maybe recently started under saddle.
Please note: stallions will never be used in this program or handled by anyone except the owner. Our riders can test to move up a level and we encourage them to do so as riding different horses improves riding skills. http://www.lrgaf.org/guide/ability.htm
